When you write a post you add <!-- read more --> (or something like this) in the code after your intro. Then it adds the read more link automatically.

Sorry for the late reply.. exams..

I believe i tried to fix the way how these input boxes looked different in IE as compared to FireFox. I managed to solve it so it looked good in both browsers, and shortly thereafter FireFox released an update.. and it then looked like on your photo.

It's all in the CSS, look for "input" and the height setting.. if i remember correct. :)

Sorry for the late reply, exams..

I did not do the head on the AI. It's an english artist, which i have tried to contact myself several times by her email, but she never replied.

It was originally as a painting, for sale. I tried to bid on it, but never heard anything from the seller.

I found it while looking at google pictures, i believe i searched for "white evil":

If you like the overall size of the existing image, then you can just overwrite the top_image.jpg image with your own. The size is 717x231 pixels.

Hi!
Mike, how about license for your works? I mean, on my phpBB we use AdInfinitum with this amazing head in header. Lately we thought about t-shirts with our logo. Can we print on t-shirts this head? We can attach any information you wish, for example, "design by Mike Lothar", or "design by mikelothar.com".
And finally I'm interested in license of your templates; is it GNU, GPL, or what?

PS. Who is on this image?
PS2. Sorry for any language mistakes, English isn't my native language...

Would've emailed you but I couldn't find your contact info on the site. Any idea why the input boxes are being cutoff? It's only been like that since I've installed 2.0.23. Could you point me towards the right file to edit. I'm guessing it could be fixed in the css? (I'm no coder but I can follow directions :) )

Hi Mike,
I asked you a while ago if you would mind me converting your NoseBleed template to SMF. I got about quarter of the way through before giving up in despair. The shear number of templates I had to edit and the extent to which I needed to edit them drove me totally insane.

The SMF devs are claiming that they will be releasing a new default theme which will have a much simpler template system, so I may revisit the situation then. I could have cobbled together something which was 'almost' like NoseBleed, or just converted your existing table based layout over, but I'm not keen on doing it unless I can do a full semantic conversion which exactly replicates your original design.

Off-topic: In the mean time, I have hacked the bajeezus out of the SMF system to create a support forum for my new (still under development) website. This was much easier than NoseBleed though as it is a very basic design.

http://pixopoint.com/forum/

I agree that phpbb is a nightmare to theme. So are vBulletin and SMF.

But I find that bbPress is just missing far too many features to make it a viable option for me. Even with plugins, it is still a little lacking on the feature side for my liking.

I've spent the past week hacking the crap out of SMF trying to make it do what I want. It was hard going, but I'm almost there. With bbPress it would have been a one day job to code the whole forum.

Even if I didn't want the extra features of the larger (more bloated?) forums, I'm still not sure I'd go for bbPress. Vanilla seems to be a little meaner, leaner and off-base forum and I'd seriously consider it instead.

Re: http://www.guytrap.com/bp. Mike is correct. This was formerly running in phpbb 2.0 with his strangeworld template and is currently running bbpress with scoun template.

It is possible to transfer from phpbb to bbpress but so far the transition hasn't been smooth. I had to hire a sql guy to transfer the db and there are still unresolved problems.

Once we get it worked out, I will post details here. We started with this script:

http://www.iteisa.com/phpbb2bbpress/

It kind of works, but returns a lot of errors and doesn't properly populate the db with users and posts.

I would consider bbpress for small, fun projects where I do not expect a lot of members. I will stick with phpbb (or vBulletin) for my bigger forums as that is what the average forum user tends to be accustomed to using.

Hi, Mike.
I just added the phpBB style Militia.
I really like it, but I want to align the whole table center.
I already tried to change the overall_header.tpl and militia.css files, but it didn't work.
(Actually I don't know CSS.)
How can I do this?

Thanks. -Lauren
